Resurrection Lilies


from earlier this summer. The greenery shoots up in the spring, then dies back. Come summer, the flowers spring up seemingly overnight. Hence their name.

They are also known as 'surprise' flowers.

    Surprise indeed. I've never heard of them. Interesting that they just sprout up like a weed.
